To provide counselling safely and effectively, I may collect:
• Your name and contact details
• Brief information you share when enquiring or booking
• Brief session notes to support your counselling work

How your information is used?

Your information is used to:
• Arrange and provide counselling sessions
• Respond to enquiries and manage appointments
• Keep appropriate brief notes to support your work
• Help ensure your safety and wellbeing where needed
• Respond to any concerns, complaints, or legal requirements

Confidentiality

Everything you share is treated as confidential.

There are a few exceptions where I may need to share information:
• If there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else
• If there are safeguarding concerns about a child or vulnerable adult
• If I am required to do so by law

Where possible, I would always aim to talk this through with you first.

Your rights

You have rights over your personal data, including the right to:
• Access the information held about you
• Ask for corrections if something is inaccurate
• Request deletion in certain circumstances
• Ask to limit or object to how your data is used
• Withdraw consent at any time (where consent applies)

Requests will be responded to within one month.

Where information comes from?

All information is shared directly by you.

How long information is kept?

Client records are kept securely for 5 years after counselling ends, in line with insurance and professional requirements. After this time, they are securely deleted.
